Help more children like Larry enjoy the fun of youth basketball at the Centre
Meet Larry, he is a 5th grade student at Garfield Elementary School. Larry lives in Watch Court apartments with his five older siblings and his grandmother, Jo. Larry's favorite thing to do is play basketball in the youth basketball league at the Centre. Larry had never been on a sports team, or received a team t-shirt, until he participated in the youth basketball program at the Centre.
Larry's grandmother Jo told us that " without the funds from the Elgin Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund, Larry never would have been able to play in the basketball league. Every Saturday during the basketball season, we all look forward to going to the Centre to see Larry and his new friends play".
